kk sent this link after our conversation about how we can look and study models of Social enterprises from overseas.

I guess it is important to understand how different countries engage with the idea of social enterprise and we can look at them and look at how we can apply it here in Singapore.

Since Singapore is pushing the idea of social enterprise - I wonder how come we are encouraged to be more philantropic.

Not that I am against the idea - I am 100% behind ethical and social businesses. But I wonder if this is a move from the government to let the private sector claim more responsibility to our less fortunate.

Why don't the government also come up with more and better initiatives to help those less fortunate.
