A walk about at Bukit Brown

A family Walking into the Bukit Brown, I asked a family to help save Bukit Brown by putting their name down for the Open Letter to save Bukit Brown from the highway.

Matriarch said 'no, no, no... We are neutral' while scuttling the family away - almost running away.

I respect a person's right for remaining neutral on this matter. However, the 'running' away made me feel like I was a scary salesman and made me wonder what were they afraid of? My sales pitch? An opinion? Making a stand? Signing the open letter?

One can have the right to be for, against and even neutral on the highway but i certainly hope that the fear of making a stand does not make choose to be 'neutral'. Then that is not really 'neutral' stand. It is fear and self-censorship.

Transmission out!
