150 local bands and DJs set to perform at Bedok Reservoir

Last year was 100 acts and this year is 150 acts. What a feat actually... A pity I did not manage to go to this event but it is quite cool to think that there are so many acts out there in Singapore. Making music and sound.

Well, you could go through the acts list and check out what they have to offer.

The sophomore edition of 100 Bands Festival has 50 more musicians than last year and a waterfront location.

Just when you think that the local music concert series can't get any better, here's one that might just blow everything else out of the water (almost literally). The organizers behind the 100 Bands Festival last year, which was held at Kovan Hub in Hougang, head to Bedok Reservoir with an even bigger lineup this year (check out our recent story on the happening hood here). While they're still keeping mum about the list of performers, the renamed 100 + 50 gig (plus 50 for SG50, get it?) will be held over three weekends from Jul 31 to Aug 16.
It will be massive, with early talks that the bands might might even perform on a floating stage. Going by the band's gig's indie slant, expect to see names like In Each Hand A Cutlass and The Great Spy Experiment on that list.
