Open BBQ vs new asylum secrecy laws

New laws that would see workers in detention centres jailed for speaking out about abuses that happened inside detention centres.

Tony Abbott  was in Singapore Treating Singaporeans and our PM to a BBQ. No one HIM Asked about this.

Instead, if Singaporeans are Concerned  People's Association - sold tickets to the Event for Members When it's own it is an Open Event?

With the case of Amos Yee sparking protests in Taiwan, Hong Kong and Penang where there is a kind of 'trans-border' advocacy based on a human rights issue. I find that uplifting and comforting to know that this is not just a Singapore issue.

We Singaporeans love our food and if left hungry --- we are not an easy bunch to deal with! Beware.

A friend pointed out, who cares about Tony's food and what he is cooking. His politics is not right!

So SG50 BBQ is a missed opportunity for any advocates to ask Tony what about the new asylum Secrecy laws?

Where are the Singapore human rights organisations in this? Why did not ask Tony about this?
Why did not you ask People's Association why? Why? Why?

Actually, i did not know about both of these. But I must admit, the dimension of 'trans-border' politics did not enter my mind. I was intrigued by the human rights violations of People's Association and missed out on Tony's.

Asylum Secrecy Law is terrible. It gives the Australian government the right to silence any critique of its detention centres.   Read the open letter that challenges this law!
