Pintrest will pop up notifications in a light box, greying out everything else. If it only happens in Opera, I would say upgrade to latest version or check your settings for Javascript.
Ans: Try disabling extensions in your browser or run in private mode. I had an extension called CSS selector tester that grayed out all pins on pinterest.

I also faced the same problem for quite a while. I am using chrome. I disabled my extension ... Facebook Chat Downloader. IT worked.
